Brief Description

The Think Tank on Public Private Partnership (PPP) to prevent and combat trafficking of women and children is under the Chairpersonship of the Secretary of Ministry of Women and Child Development. The Think Tank comprises representatives of Ministries such as Home Affairs, Labour and Employment and Commerce, business houses such as the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) and the National Commission for the Protection of Child Rights. Two major projects were initiated under the PPP, namely Vocational Training and Skill Up-Gradation for Adolescent boys and girls of vulnerable groups by Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) and a similar programme for women Self Help Groups from vulnerable communities by Impulse and Gap. Inc.
